It is with profound regret and deep condolences that we post this sad news.
Keiko Mason, Sa Bom Nim, Chil Dan #19023, Age 85, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 15, 2020, due to health issues. There was a small private family ceremony.
She is survived by her husband, Ted Mason, Sa Bom Nim, Pahl Dan #12895, her children: Brenda, Michael, Teddy, and Jennifer. The Mason family is a Moo Duk Kwan Family. All of the children are either KDJ or Dan members.
The Mason Family has been providing quality instruction in Soo Bahk Do/Tang Soo Do to North County San Diego since 1968. Carlsbad Soo Bahk Do:
Keiko Mason, Sa Bom Nim, was one of several women in the Moo Duk Kwan, to achieve Ko Dan Ja level, and has been a dedicated and fierce supporter of the Moo Duk Kwan and the U.S. Federation for decades. Her service to the Moo Duk Kwan has provided a positive and strong role model for Women in the Moo Duk Kwan, around the world. She attained great success as an instructor and a Moo Do In role model for her own children, as well as every person she met during her Moo Do career. Her family has had a long personal relationship, not only with the Founder, Hwang Kee, but also continued that connection with the current Kwan Jang Nim H.C. Hwang. She achieved Chil Dan in her senior years. She will be truly missed. May she rest in eternal peace. SOO BAHK!
